India, which chairs the group of Twenty this year, has announced that it is conducting ongoing talks with the countries of the group to develop a global framework for regulating digital currencies. Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Tuesday that the discussions are about creating a global framework for regulating crypto assets.
The Indian official stressed that the regulation of digital currencies requires cooperation between all countries, and noted that India's chairmanship of the group of Twenty has put important issues on the table related to the regulation and comprehensive understanding of crypto assets. He explained that active talks are currently underway to reach a comprehensive agreement on this matter.
